Tony Zaragoza enters his eigth year coaching girl's softball, with one year being spent as the San Diego State University Softball hitting coach in 1996 under Head Coach Kathy Van Wyk.  Zaragoza has spent nine years as a head and assistant softball and baseball coach in various local high school programs that include:

Six years as an associate scout with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Tampa Bay Rays. Prior to moving back to Boise in 1997, Zaragoza played independent minor league baseball for two years in the Frontier League, played college baseball at San Diego State University, 1994-1995, member of the 1993 Alaska Goldpanners, played at Yavapai College, 1992-1993, and a member of 1993 Junior College National Championship team. Four year varsity letter man at Boise High School, 1991 Idaho State High School Champs, and four year AA legion Boise Gems, 1990 and 1991 Idaho State American Legion Champs. He earned his B.S. in Kinesology from San Diego State University in 1997 and his Idaho State Certified Teaching Credential from Boise State University in 1999. Tony and his wife Kimberly have two children Karsyn, 15, and Paul 10.
